Conference Secrets Leaked All Over The Internet – Through Tweets!! #30DCHome #30DC

Ed Dale, of Moonee Ponds, keen photographer, musician and creator of the well known ’30 Day Challenge’ presented his sell out ‘Coming Home 2’ conference in Melbourne recently on the 19th, 20th and 21st February 2010. This closed conference with speakers such as ‘Leslie Rhode’ was given to a select band of skilled Entrepreneurs and Internet Marketers. A closed conference that was NOT BE RECORDED, however, …

In the spirit of sharing with absent friends and followers, Tweeters of the conference gave a full running commentary of the insights gained. Full disclosure of Ed Dale’s fashion sense and jokes were only a part of the story and Brent Hodgson of Market Samurai fame was seen to lunge at and save a desperate Mac from certain (and presumably predetermined) death as it gave up its grip on the podium. The evidence for all this drama unfolded Tweet by Tweet as the conference went on…

Sorry, stop there… I was just jealous that I couldn’t make it and was toiling away at home trying to give my first 30 Day Challenge attempt the kiss of article life as it sunk into the Google abyss of ranking. The comforting, useful, interesting Tweets popped up as each gem left the conference room and provided blissful distraction from the fall of my new internet empire.

Later, I thought I would create a little experiment, I’ll gather up the tweets and put them together in a nice presentable way and -hey- I might finally get a visitor to my blog. Simple… Should only take half an hour…

I hadn’t realised the size of the task ahead. Over a thousand tweets had to be pulled in and trying to put them into Google Docs, Word and an extremely well known and powerful editor that should have known better, just didn’t help at all. In fact quite simply crashed them all. So I relented and thought presentation isn’t important anyway – this is the Internet – and decided I would just list them out. Even that task was too much for my poor apps I had to dig out an old QKSite scripter of mine to pull out the info, I’m glad I never deleted that one in my bid to escape the development world…

Well here it is, not very readable – so my apologies – but an interesting set of tweets nonetheless. Every time I look through them I notice interesting things in what they mean and what they show, apart from the information in them which in context is gold! Notice the overall tone of them and what going to the conference has meant to all of them, notice also the effort they all put in trying to share helpful or useful ideas and how you can get quite a full picture of the events taking place through those small 140 character eyes into the room (not to forget the pictures and links connected with them. There are more ideas that come to mind and I am sure you will see them too as you browse through them.

I tried to keep them as brief as possible with no actually timings or pictures but did divide them up as close I could into the relevant days… Not the easiest format to read but they are all there and are continuing still at http://twitter.com/#search?q=%2330dchome

I would be interested in anything that you might see that I missed or your opinion on what is happening here…

The Tweets follow… If you are interested in the latest internet marketing tweets from the conference they are all collected in the following pages … be warned though, there’s so many of them.
